It’s been just over a week since we returned from the Healthcare Estates Expo, organised by IHEEM (The Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management) and what an event it was.
Held in Manchester, the exhibition once again brought together estates professionals, designers, contractors, suppliers and clients from across the healthcare sector, all with a shared focus on delivering safe, compliant and future-ready environments.
This year marked an important milestone for LST Projects, as we continued to strengthen our presence within the healthcare construction industry. Over the course of the two days, our team had the opportunity to engage with a wide range of professionals, from NHS Trust representatives and clinical planners to architects, consultants and supply chain partners.
We were able to discuss upcoming opportunities for construction and refurbishment projects, share insight into our approach, and gain valuable feedback on the challenges currently facing healthcare estates teams.

Strengthening Relationships and Raising Brand Awareness
Attending events like Healthcare Estates is a key part of how we stay connected to the industry and ensure we remain at the forefront of healthcare design and delivery. It also provides an invaluable platform to raise awareness of who we are, the work we do, and how our collaborative approach continues to deliver quality, compliant projects across the UK.

A Proud Legacy in Healthcare Construction
Our longevity and deep roots within the healthcare sector were a key talking point throughout the event, a reminder of how LST Projects has evolved while staying true to its founding principles.
“One thing that really stood out at the Healthcare Estates Expo was how many people were surprised to learn that LST Projects has been trading for over 130 years. Founded in 1895 by Louis S. Tuffin, we’ve evolved through six generations, but our core values of integrity, teamwork, excellence, respect and accountability have never changed.
It was a proud moment to represent a company with such deep roots in the healthcare sector — alongside colleagues who share the same commitment to quality, service and purpose.”
– Carl Fry, Contracts Manager at LST Projects
